class sherpa.astro.xspec.XSspline(name='spline')

Bases: sherpa.astro.xspec.XSMultiplicativeModel

The XSPEC spline model: spline modification.

The model is described at [1].

Estart

The start x value (energy), in keV.

YStart

The start y value.

Yend

The end y value.

YPstart

The start dy/dx value.

YPEnd

The end dy/dx value.

Eend

The end x value (energy), in keV.

Attempt to set the parameter values, and ranges, for the model to match the data values. This is intended as a rough guess, so it is expected that the model is only evaluated a small number of times, if at all.
