Rotation2D

class astropy.modeling.rotations.Rotation2D(angle=0.0, **kwargs)[source]

Bases: astropy.modeling.Model

Perform a 2D rotation given an angle.

Positive angles represent a counter-clockwise rotation and vice-versa.

Parameters:
angle : float or Quantity

Angle of rotation (if float it should be in deg).

Attributes Summary

angle
inputs
outputs
param_names

Methods Summary

__call__(x, y[, model_set_axis, …]) Evaluate this model using the given input(s) and the parameter values that were specified when the model was instantiated.
evaluate(x, y, angle) Rotate (x, y) about angle.

Methods Documentation

__call__(x, y, model_set_axis=None, with_bounding_box=False, fill_value=nan, equivalencies=None, inputs_map=None)

Evaluate this model using the given input(s) and the parameter values that were specified when the model was instantiated.

classmethod evaluate(x, y, angle)[source]

Rotate (x, y) about angle.

Parameters:
x, y : ndarray-like

Input quantities

angle : float (deg) or Quantity

Angle of rotations.
