Personal Information

  • Ashkbiz Danehkar is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. He obtained my PhD in Physics and Astronomy from Macquarie University, Australia, in 2014. His research interests include supermassive black holes, AGN feedback, galactic outflows, relativistic jets, multi-wavelength studies, galaxy formation and evolution, X-ray observations, and integral field spectroscopy.

  • Ashkbiz Danehkar carried out his PhD research on observational astronomy at Macquarie University, Australia (2010-2014), where his studies focused on kinematic and photoionization modeling of ionized nebulae. He obtained his MSc in Plasma Physics from the Queen's University Belfast, UK in 2009, for his studies on linear and nonlinear electrostatic wave structures in multi-species suprathermal plasmas. He was an early-stage researcher with the University of Craiova, Romania, in 2008, involved in quantum field theory and gravitational theories.
