To both compress and view a particular section

  tv> display ``xdata$rp110590.qp[block=4][1673:1800,2273:2400]''

This is a tricky operation. The order of the instructions is critical. The image must first be compressed, then the section specified using the coordinates of the compressed image (logical coordinates). The above will display a 128$\times$128 section.
