Some of my paintings
Paintings from Summer 2000
This is my first painting class. We are starting with still life
boxes, paper bags, and bottles to learn shadowing.
These first two are monochromatic.
The next painting uses a base color and we mixed white and black in
with it for a color medium.
Now we have colors. The first painting is using black for the shadow
color.
Here we used a bluish shadow to constrast the yellow (incandesent)
light we were using.
In this painting, we started with the middle tone of each color and
then used the bluish shadow and bright for the lighter tones.
Sorry... painting is still too wet to scan!
