The Wisconsin Ultraviolet Photo Polarimetry Experiment (WUPPE) was reflown in 1995 on board the Space Shuttle Endeavour which set the record for the longest Shuttle mission at that time (16 days). WUPPE made a total of 369 observations. WUPPE obtained both ultraviolet spectra and polarimetry for celestial objects such as hot stars, galactic nuclei, and quasars. The instrument included a telescope, spectropolarimeter, and dual diode array detectors.

My play-by-play messages composed during the STS-67 ASTRO-2 mission, and about what it felt like to control a space-shuttle-based astronomical telescope are archived.
