Visualizing Astronomy at the CfA
More than ever, we live in a visual society. But how then do you convey astronomical results that are, in fact, invisible to the unaided eye? This new series of talks is aimed at engaging the CfA community with the question of how best to represent their science visually to a non-specialist and beyond to a lay audience. From the ongoing virtual observatory efforts to the recent symposia and workshops devoted to the topic, astronomical visualization is a burgeoning field. With its breadth of research, the CfA may be in an ideal position to help lead the exploration of how astronomy is 'seen'.
