tabplot is a convenient interface to the stsdas task sgraph which allows the user to generate line graphics of table columns, image sections or lists. It allows manipulation of point styles, inclusion of error bars, titles etc. via the pltpar parameter set. The help files for tabplot and sgraph provide more details.
e.g., To make a plot of a source spectrum as a function of energy including error bars on the counts:

# where lo_energy, net, neterr are the column names in the table
