NASA Supported Educational Activities of SXG Staff Members
SXG staff members are already participating in two NASA supported
educational ventures and plans are underway for involvement in a
third.
- Christine Jones, Eric Mandel and Tania Ruiz of the SXG
Coordination Facility are actively involved
in the Everyday Classroom
Tools project, a public outreach effort pioneering the use of the
internet in elementary school education.
- Tania Ruiz and Christine Jones of SXG, together with Jeffrey Breen
of the University of Virginia and Sara Waters of the John A. Bishop
School, have collaborated to produce the on-line textbook Eyes on the
Sky, Feet on the Ground.
- Plans are underway to coordinate collaboration among three high
schools in Arlington, MA, Belmont, MA, and a high school in Moscow,
Russia.
