General usage.
The following list gives essential information for the new user.  For
more details see the following section.
- Menu:  to select an option, click any mouse button
on that option.  Selected options are blackened.  (Note:  Several
options bring up sub-menus).
 - Quit: Select etc and quit
 - New image: Select etc and new.  Edit the
command line to reflect the new image name (ignore the
details!).
 - Raise:  To raise the window above its neighbors
either:
-type `a' anywhere in the window
-select etc and raise
-click a mouse button on the upper border
-hit the ``front'' key on your keyboard
 - Cursor position:  is displayed (usually, but depends
on default setting) in ``logical''
coordinates) in the text window.
To enable/disable select etc and coord.
 - Pixel values: type `t' in the main display window to
obtain a list of pixel values around the cursor position.  The values
appear in the SAOmonolog window.
 - Close-up display:  This display tracks the cursor
position in the main display.  To enable/disable the track, select etc
and track.
 - Color lookup table: to change the contrast of the
display hold `r' mouse button and move cursor in main window.
 - Color map:  to change the colormap (default is black
and white) select color and cmap which brings up another
sub-menu.  ``B'' is a good first choice of colors.
 - Color lookup display: to display look-up table,
click any mouse button on color bar.  To adjust red/green/blue
individually, hold left/middle/right mouse buttons respectively and
move mouse.
 - text/error messages: appear in the SAOmonolog window.
 - -pros/-imtool:  This switch controls the type of
output from the region menu option.  It can be changed by
selecting etc and new and editing the command line
