tb2lst - convert an rdb table to ``list'' format

-l N
Set the maximum output line length to N. The default is 80 characters.

DESCRIPTION

tbl2lst reads an rdbtble from STDIN and writes out a ``list'' version of the table to STDOUT. Long data fields are folded. tbl2lst is useful for viewing wide tables, or editing them.

A list rdbtable is essentially an rdbtable turned sideways. For example, with an input of:

Name Age HatSize S N N Huey 3 12 Duey 3 13 Louey 3 14

tbl2lst will output

Name | S Age | N HatSize | N Name | Huey Age | 3 HatSize | 12 Name | Duey Age | 3 HatSize | 13 Name | Louey Age | 3 HatSize | 14

tbl2lst will fold lines longer than 80 characters (the limit may be changed via the -l option).
