Raytrace Configurations

Supported Configurations

Set the raytrace script's config_dir parameter to /proj/axaf/simul/databases/ts_config.

These configurations must be run with trace-shellz4, trace-nest3, or trace-xrcf1.

Note that any energy may be used with these ray-trace programs, as they use the multilayer_reflect multilayer reflection code.

Notes

The distance to the XRCF source used in the VETA1 analysis was 528740mm from the front of the paraboloid. I can't seem to track this number down, so I'm using it as is. For those configuration files which have the CAP at 1000mm the position of the source is at 528740mm + 853.6 (the ideal distance from the front of the P to the front of the CAP) - 1000mm = 528593.6mm. The distance from the XSS to the midplane of the CAP is 1730 +/- 0.5 ft (see JWA-19960603.txt). As the CAP is 49.911 mm wide, and datum A is at 0, src_dist = 1730ft * 12in/ft * 25.4mm/in - (49.911mm / 2 ) = 527279.04mm
