The lamp is a continuous gas discharge source that can be used with molecular or rare gases.
It is a rich source of spectral lines in the EUV and FUV. The source is shown
mounted to the McPherson 1 m grazing incidence monochromator.
Gas and water line connections, vacuum pump, and electrical connection.
