Description of Columns

CXOMPJ
are preliminary IAU-style names for ChaMP objects. Finalization of names awaits the final systematization of optical coordinates and source identification. They are linked to spectral plots when available.

Each spectrum has been smoothed by 3 pixels, which roughly corresponds to the resolution, and poorly subtracted night sky lines have been removed and are indicated by the green regions in the plots. The yellow regions highlight atmospheric telluric bands at ~6900A and ~7600A. The optical ID, X-ray ID, classification, and redshift are given at the top of each plot, and a series of lines are shown that are often found in sources of that given classification.

OPTICAL ID

X-RAY ID
links to 1 arcmin thumbnail X-ray and optical images. In the X-ray image, the green circle is the 95% encircled energy. The same circle is placed on the optical image. Red squares in the X-ray images are other X-ray detections in the field. The blue(cyan) circles in the optical image are all SExtractor detections. The magenta squares are the matches to the X-ray detection that are automatically found by the matching algorithm.

Eff.ksec
Effective Exposure time in ksec including all exposure and vignetting corrections.

OAA
Off-axis angle in arcsec.

net count
total broad band (0.3-8keV) counts

err
error in counts (includes error due to bkg subtraction)

fx(e-15)
0.5-2keV flux in cgs units, assuming Gamma=1.4 powerlaw and corrected for Galactic Nh

HS limit?
0= HR0 detection; 1= upper limit to HR0; -1= lower limit to HR0

HR0
Hardness Ratio HR0=(H-S)/(H+S) where S=0.3-2.5keV and H=2.5-8keV counts, corrected to on axis ACIS-I

err
error in HR0

o/x sep (")
separation in arcsec between optical and X-ray centroids

g
g' band magnitude; calibrated SExtractor Kron mag or limit

g_err
random mag err based on RMS of bkg; if 999 then corresponding mag is a 5sigma limit

r
r' band magnitude; calibrated SExtractor Kron mag or limit

r_err
random mag err based on RMS of bkg; if 999 then corresponding mag is a 5sigma limit

i
i' band magnitude; calibrated SExtractor Kron mag or limit

i_err
random mag err based on RMS of bkg; if 999 then corresponding mag is a 5sigma limit

logfx/fr
log of the 0.5-2keV flux over r' band flux

Type
0=BLAGN; 1=NELG; 2=ALG; 3=featureless continuum; 4=star

z
Spectroscopic Redshift

logLx(0.5-2keV)
X-ray Luminosity in (0.5-2keV) band; assuming H0=70; Omega_lambda=0.7; Omega_matter=0.3

logLopt
optical luminosity at 2500A assuming alpha=-0.5

alpha_ox
Hypothetical powerlaw slope between 2500A and 2keV

Additional Notes:

Both fx and Lx are calculated in the 0.5-2keV band from the 0.5-8keV counts correcting for Galactic Nh via an assumed X-ray powerlaw slope Gamma=1.4. Lopt and alpha_ox are calculated at 2500A assuming a continuum optical power-law slope -0.5.
